A PPI infusion protocol developed in Hong Kong proven to reduce the risk of rebleeding in the upper GI tract post OGD. Constant infusion, following a loading bolus, is needed to stabilise clot by raising the pH of gastric juice.

It is usually given for 72 hours. Ensure each infusion bag is prescribed.
